I always enjoy visiting the bird market in Hong Kong. It’s a meeting place for people with birds. The Chinese like to keep birds as pets. They bring their birdcages with them to the market. It’s a social event. Everyone crouches down in small groups to talk or play a game of cards. They hang the birdcages from the tree branches. The birds are always singing. The market has stalls offering a variety of exotic birds as well as food and accessories.
