I had gone with a fellow photographer to photograph the Eiffel Tower early in the morning in the dark to capture the lights on the tower. But because of energy conservation, the tower was dark. It was cold so I kept going into the subway station to keep warm and popping up every so often to see how the light was changing. At one point when I emerged from the station I saw this wonderful morning light. I liked how the design in the plaza directed your eye back to the tower and how the tower was reflected in the surface of the plaza.
